The University of Exeter would like to hear from suppliers willing to share information about their approach to the provision of a Networks and Telecoms upgrade to: — Gauge the likely level of interest in the project from the market; — Better understand what solutions and services are available in the market; — Explore how the options could be supplied: — Consider the likely costs; and — Determine the most effective way of packaging and scoping its requirements for any future procurement opportunity. This PIN has been issued in order to advertise this engagement exercise to the open market and seek expressions of interest from suppliers that wish to take part in the pre-market engagement exercise and to present to the University's project team to help us understand the marketplace in more detail. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is not a call for competition, for the purposes of Regulation 26(9) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. Suppliers that would like to express an interest in this market engagement exercise must do so at the following URL: https://uk.eu-supply.com/login.asp?B=EXETER; suppliers are required to search for and select the appropriate tender from the list of current opportunities. Once suppliers have expressed an interest, they will be required to complete and upload the Supplier Information Form and NDA, once confirmed as a bona fide supplier the ‘Procurement Information’ document that sets out the information about the project available at this time, will be sent to you via the CTM portal. The ‘Procurement Information’ document gives details of the Market Research events to be held between 11.12.2017 — 15.12.2017. These events will be held at the University of Exeter's St Luke's Campus, Exeter, EX1 2LU, UK. Suppliers interested in attending must complete Appendix A of the ‘Procurement Information’ document and submit it by the deadline stated on the form: 5.12.2017, as instructed. The University will issue an agenda & joining instructions to all suppliers that have expressed interest in attending a Market Research event by no later than Friday 08.12.2017. Each event will be a single meeting between the University project team and an individual supplier; at which the supplier will be asked to give a presentation on how they could assist the University to implement and operate a networks and telecoms service for the future, efficiently and with innovation. Please see the ‘Procurement Information’ document for information about this event that is currently available. Please note that Suppliers that do not wish to participate in the Market Research event will be able to express their interest in participating in this procurement opportunity when the Contract Notice is published (anticipated to be end of January 2018). Suppliers will suffer no prejudice for not participating in the University's market engagement. With the exception of commercially confidential information, information gathered during the Market Research events that informs the University's requirements for this project will also be published to suppliers together with any other relevant documents that may be available at this time. All tender activity between the University and suppliers will be conducted via CTM (University's e-tendering portal), including all tender related correspondence. The type of procedure that will be used following this PIN is the Competitive Dialogue Procedure.
