Tender description

The works are for the re-dredging of the two berths at London Thamesport on the River Medway at the Isle of Grain. The maintenance dredging to the berths has not been undertaken in recent years and, as a consequence, the berths have been subject to ongoing silt accretion. The berths are now to be re-dredged to the declared draught; estimated quantity of dredge material 200,000m³. It is anticipated that the material (silt) will be removed/dispersed using water-injection dredging techniques, subject to consent. Keywords: dredging
