Tender description

Onward Homes required the provision of Insurance Services involving insurance broking, insurance underwriting or a combination of both. The term included the arrangement, placing and administration of insurance policies, as well as ancillary claims settlement and administration, risk management services and any other insurance related services. There were 3 separate Lots covering: — Motor Vehicle Insurance; — Engineering Insurance and Inspection; — All other insurance. The minimum requirements for this procurement included: — Appropriate insurance protection for the assets, earnings and liabilities of Onward Homes. — Appropriate claims handling arrangements for all types of losses, with appropriate recording and systems for the provision of meaningful management information. — Appropriate and effective risk management services, including training and systems for the control and reduction of exposure and losses. Motor vehicle insurance services and insurance services as required by Onward Homes, and as more fully detailed in the tender documents. Engineering inspection services and insurances and insurance services as required and as fully detailed in the tender documents. Insurance covering; material damage, business interruption, liability, engineering, personal accident, fidelity guarantee / crime, professional indemnity, construction related and other insurances and insurance services as required by Onward Homes, which are not covered in Lots 1 and 2, and as fully detailed in the tender documents.
