Hertfordshire County Council (the Council) is tendering to deliver a Community HIV Support Service in Hertfordshire The primary aim of the Service is to provide assessment, co-ordination and advocacy for those whose social concerns would otherwise impair their adherence to Antiretroviral Therapy (ART). These main aims can be categorised as: o Increasing awareness of HIV, and the accessibility of mainstream community services for people with the condition by supporting organisations and reducing stigma o Providing short term practical and emotional support for people diagnosed with HIV, and their carer/ family o Providing longer term support for 'complex' individuals (and their family/ carer), triaging to appropriate services o Proactively identifying individuals who may benefit from the Service, ensuring the Service is accessible, flexible and appropriate for the demography of Hertfordshire This procurement is an Open (one stage process).
