The statutory principle of individual wellbeing for adults underpins the Care Act 2014, and is the driving force behind all social care and support. The Act has also enabled local authorities and partners to have a wider focus on the whole population in need of care, rather than just those with eligible needs and/or who are state-funded. The Care Act 2014 informs the criteria and outcomes of this Grant Programme and includes providing a coherent approach to adult social care and consolidating good practice. The Carers Grant will fund services and activities that inform or support carers in the Bolton Borough.
