Electronic Catering Management System

Tender description

NTW Solutions Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust) are looking to implement an overarching catering management system to support our efforts to deliver quality services to our customers. The catering management system must deliver the following high level requirements: • Patient feeding and Meal ordering functionality • Point of Sale functionality in our 7 Cafés and Shops • Comprehensive stock control functionality • Goods re-ordering functionality • Hospitality ordering functionality The catering department serve approximately 750,000 meals per year managing circa 500 stock lines from approximately 35 suppliers. Food provision for our 50+ ordering points is centrally managed from one of our 12 hospital sites. Connectivity between all sites will be an essential requirement of the system as will an ability to interface with our patient record system (RiO). We are keen to understand current market capability and are keen to hear from suppliers that have an existing demonstrable system (currently implemented in an NHS or similar environment) that could meet the above requirements. Due to the nature of the patient and client groups we serve the system must offer sufficient flexibility to meet our bespoke needs and offer improvements in terms of efficiency, reporting accountability and governance.
