Britten Street Replacement Water Tanks

Britton Street is located in Gillingham just off the main High Street. The residential flats are laid out in blocks off 4 with 10 flats in each block making 40 flats in total. Each flat is two storey built in traditional brick and block construction with a pitched tiled roof on the top floor flat. The block of 10 flats have 5 on the ground floor and 5 on the first floor. The existing water tanks located in the roof voids also supply services to the flats beneath. Each flat has its own dedicated cold water main and hot water storage facility with the cold storage tank in the roof of the top floor flat also supplying stored water to the flat below. This project relates specifically to the replacement of water tanks in the roof voids and replacement with new Individual tanks to dedicated flats in accordance with the schedule provided. It will also be a requirement to modify the existing open vent pipework to terminate safely to an external wall. It should be noted that not all flats require new tanks only those that are detailed on the work schedule. Keywords: Water Tank
