Training and Simulation Method Review

Tender description

A contract has been awarded to RINA Consulting Ltd to conduct a review of HS2 Ltd's current and future operational training and simulation strategies with regards to staff involved in its rolling stock control command and signalling activities. As part of the review, research will be required on how training for operational staff is undertaken currently and how the use of technology could be exploited to aid training activities and allow an on-going competence to be maintained with greater efficiency and reduced cost. This requirement is time critical and will feed into HS2 Ltd's rolling stock procurement and the respective contractual framework (in terms of provision of simulators, training content, hardware and software to deliver a blended training and competence environment).
