Support for Young Carers

Tender description

The Service Provider will facilitate the following services under this Contract. (a) Activity based weekly groups (50 x weekly group activities/year) at appropriate venues. (b) Residential – Four short stay breaks and ten single day outings at appropriate venues (c) Family Support Worker for young carers and families – to carry out initial assessments, referral procedures (including CAF where appropriate), joining TAC group meetings, providing support for families and links to correct support services. (d) Raise awareness about young carers issues amongst professionals and multi agency staff to promote the interests of young carers and provide guidance and assistance about their needs. (e) Assist the Service Purchaser in monitoring school attendance and exclusion rates of young carers in primary and secondary schools. Also assisting the Service Purchaser in improving attendance and exclusion rates for young carers The services listed in 3.1 (a) and 3.1 (b) above shall be provided to a minimum of 100 (100) young carers Keywords: Young Carers, Short Stay
