Tender description

The Medical Physics services required will include quality assurance (routine and non-routine) and radiation safety tests on equipment as required under UK law for these domains, and the testing should be performed in line with the relevant professional body standards, with due regard to manufacturer's specifications. It will also include any scientific advice and input after equipment tests. The service shall be geared towards the maintenance of good image quality and acceptable radiation dosage compared to national Diagnostic Reference Levels (DRLs) in the diagnosis and treatment of Trust's patients. As well as scientific support and advice for Trust services in the areas of X-ray imaging and radionuclide imaging, the Medical Physics service provider (henceforth ‘Provider’) will provide training for staff as required under legislation which covers IR.
