Tender description

Birmingham City Council wishes to establish a contract for the provision of a service to Maximise Business Rate Retention. This contract is for Birmingham City Council only. This work had 4 key objectives: — To identify any non-domestic properties that are not assessed for Business Rates, — To identify any non-domestic properties that are under-assessed due to, for example, alterations made to the property that are not reflected in its current assessment, — To report these to the Valuation Office Agency and monitor to ensure they are reflected in the rating list, — To subsequently record and monitor the additional Business Rates income achieved as a result of the rateable value change, The Framework will be for up to a maximum of 4 years. — To identify any non-domestic properties that are not assessed for Business Rates, — To identify any non-domestic properties that are under-assessed due to, for example, alterations made to the property that are not reflected in its current assessment, — To report these to the Valuation Office Agency and monitor to ensure they are reflected in the rating list, — To subsequently record and monitor the additional Business Rates income achieved as a result of the rateable value change.
