Tender description
We will be awarding a framework agreement for excavator and associated operations in the Forestry Commission woodlands and forests within West Forest District. Our intention is to award this framework agreement for a period of 4 years, commencing on the 2.1.2018. —Prepare forestry restock sites for planting. This involves the management of brash and harvesting residues. This will include a requirement for mulching operations. Please note that no brash raking operations will be required in year 1 of this Lot, as this operation is currently under another contract. —Create planting positions as per individual site specification —The reinstatement of severely rutted tracks and footpaths in a commercial forest environment following trafficking by heavy machinery. —Recreational trail maintenance (bicycle and footpaths) —Clearing of blocked culverts and ditches —Minor repair of damaged Forestry Commission access tracks —Installation of new culvert pipes on extraction routes or tracks —Conservation work including pond creation and maintenance —Bund creation to prevent unauthorised access. —The reinstatement of severely rutted tracks and footpaths in a commercial forest environment following trafficking by heavy machinery. —Recreational trail maintenance (bicycle and footpaths) —Clearing of blocked culverts and ditches —Minor repair of damaged Forestry Commission access tracks —Installation of new culvert pipes on extraction routes or tracks —Conservation work including pond creation and maintenance —Bund creation to prevent unauthorised access —Prepare forestry restock sites for planting.
