Leicestershire County Council has authority to manage the finances of certain service users who are not able to manage their own finances due to a lack of mental capacity. LCC are seeking to appoint a number of Financial Advisors to advise officers of the council within the Appointee-ship and Deputy-ship Team on matters of financial investment for the benefit of service users. We may also offer the framework on a national basis for other Local Authorities to utilise. Please note this PIN is being issued to alert the market as to an upcoming tender opportunity that will be advertised via issue of a Contract Notice in late 2017 / early 2018. We are not seeking expressions of interest at this point in time. To establish a competitive national framework of Financial Advisors to advise officers of the Leicestershire County Council (and other local authorities if required) on matters of financial investment for the benefit of service users. Financial Advisors will be required to have the below accreditation: — Registered with the FCA. — Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) Financial Qualifications of Level 3 and above that includes a qualification in Financial Planning and Later Life Advisor Accreditation. — Hold Society of Later Life Advisers (SOLLA) membership. — Have a broad knowledge of a variety of financial investments relevant to the Council's Deputy-ship cases.
