Evaluation of ETF's support for Initial Teacher Education (ITE)

Tender description

The aim of this project is to evaluate and review the effectiveness of current and recent teacher recruitment programmes funded by the Education and Training Foundation (ETF). The purpose of this tender is to evaluate and assess the impact of ETF's two current recruitment programmes and to determine the effectiveness of the various interventions within the programmes, (e.g. mentoring, technical skills development, recruitment method etc.) as well as measuring the impact of these new recruits upon teaching practice in their organisations, including analysing learner outcomes and any other wider impacts. Evaluation of these two programmes should be carried out with careful consideration of the metrics employed to measure the impact of the previous two ETF recruitment initiatives. Relevant data sets will be made available, enabling a comparative review of ITE activity which examines the effectiveness of the range of approaches and interventions employed by the ETF to improve teacher recruitment.
