Tender description

The Authority is looking for suppliers for Economic and Trade Implications for the UK, post EU Exit, in relation to the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) Regime. This research is needed to identify the necessary conditions for a successful UK regulatory framework for RoHS, post EU exit and to inform negotiations so as not to commit us to systems that would increase costs to business or create barriers to trade. The overarching aims of the project are as follows: - To assess the risks of divergence or different regimes that may follow EU exit. - To provide Defra with the evidence to understand what the best outcome would be for a post EU-exit UK RoHS regime - To reduce risks from any regulatory uncertainty of a post EU-exit UK RoHS regime.
