As part of its focus on jobs-related growth and using its powers and responsibilities for improving the lives of the residents of Cheshire East, the Council has begun to explore a range of renewable energy opportunities to ensure the sustainability and resilience of the borough and make Cheshire East a more attractive place for residents, businesses and investors. Following the successful award of the European Local Energy Assistance (ELENA) facility and Heat Network Funding from DBEIS, the Council is seeking to commission a district heating feasibility study for Alderley Park.
