Ground investigations are required at Tovil Closed Landfill Site, Maidstone, Kent, ME15 in which 43 exploratory locations are required to adequately assess the thickness of the capping layer and containment status of shallow soils. The scope of the works comprises of the following exploratory hole; • 43No. trial pit holes to a depth of 1.2mbgl (EH1 – EH43) It is expected that the contractor provide professional attendance on site to technically monitor site activities, and to undertake site liaison, logistics, logging, in situ testing and sampling, photography and the preparation and daily records and preliminary logs.
