Tender description

South Lakeland District Council (the Council) is inviting tenders for the provision of the recycling containers (bring banks) and maintaining them in a good, clean and safe condition at Bring sites throughout the district. The Recycling Bring Sites Services contract provides for the collection of paper, card, glass, cans and plastic from the banks, which will then be sold for re-processing. The Provider shall retain the value of materials collected and will be required to maximise the quantity and value of recyclables arising from the contract. The contract term is for 3 years with a possible extension period of 2 years. All expressions of interest, submission and clarification questions must be submitted via the Chest (www.the-chest.org.uk.). Submission Deadline is 19:00 on 20.11.2017. Please note the Proactis Support line closes at 17:30, so should you encounter any problems after this time you will be unable to log them.
