Tender description

The Department of Materials Science and Engineering at The University of Sheffield would like to entertain bids on laboratory scale reversing hot rolling mill with the capacity to cool the as-rolled metal to room temperature using a run-out cooling table. The rolling mill should be able to cope with feedstock metal (specifically steels or Ni-based alloys) at temperatures as high as 1 300 C and a maximum starting thickness of 80 mm. It should also have a mill separating force capacity of at least 130 metric tonnes. Procurement of equipment.
