Tender description

Wakefield Council is commissioning a district-wide Generic Domiciliary Care Service and Emergency Support to Carers Service. The Framework Agreement will be a spot purchase arrangement which will provide ‘call-off’ contract opportunities for Service Providers and therefore offers no guarantee of any level or value of business to any service provider appointed onto the Framework. The Council will be appointing suitably experienced providers, registered with Care Quality Commission, who will provide the Services within the Wakefield district area from 9 October 2017 for a four year duration plus option to extend for up to a further year. The Council reserves the right to re-open competition at any point during the Framework duration to secure additional capacity to meet demand. In instances when the Council exercises this right, the same application process and evaluation criteria will apply. Existing providers already appointed to the Framework Agreement will not be required to re-apply, their position on the Framework Agreement will remain in force.
