Tender description

We invite tenders to supply a superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometer. This will form a significant investment as part of the creation of the Sir Henry Royce Institute in Materials Discovery at the University of Sheffield. The SQUID magnetometer will characterize a wide range of materials, including ferromagnetic and ferrimagnetic bulk, thin film, patterned array and nano-particle samples, materials for nuclear waste immobilization, electro-ceramics, multiferroics, novel alloys and materials for nuclear fusion technology. This breadth of sample type dictates the requirement for a flexible system with a unique range of capabilities and recirculating cryogens. Delivery will be required between August and no later than the end of October 2018. Procurement of equipment.
