Gateshead Council wants to work with providers to develop personalised, integrated care and support services in Gateshead that offer choice and quality for our citizens. To open the dialogue Gateshead Councils inaugural Health and Social Care Conference “Working Together to Increase Choice and Improve Quality” will provide the opportunity to hear from the Senior Leaders about Gateshead Council’s plans for the future. Resilient, sustainable, thriving and prosperous communities are at the heart of Gateshead Council’s vision for the future. We want to work with our partners to make the vision a reality. We recognise that some people will need help at time to lead full and independent lives, so we want to ensure that help is available through a market this is responsive and provides high quality services when people need it. Why attend the Conference? : • Get an overview of the key areas that Gateshead Council will focus on over the next two years. • Find out how you can work with commissioners to offer innovative, sustainable services. We believe that co-operation through sharing expertise and information supports a forward thinking, innovative social care market where we might achieve better outcomes for our residents. • Develop a shared understanding of supply, demand and market direction in Gateshead. • An opportunity to come together with commissioners to identify opportunities and develop quality services in Gateshead. Who should attend? : • Health and social care professionals • Independent contractors • Private and voluntary sector health and care providers Date: and times Thursday, 9th November, 2017 from 9:30 am – 5:00 pm at Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, South Shore Road, Gateshead, NE8 3BA. Places will be offered at a maximum of two per provider on a first come first served basis. Spaces are limited therefore attendance must be booked, failure to book a place will result in being turned away on the day.
