NEST Corporation intends to establish sponsorship partnerships to support the delivery of its NEST Insight programme and to expand its reach and impact. The NEST Insight unit was set up by NEST Corporation to understand and help solve the challenges facing members of NEST’s pension scheme. These insights will be shared broadly to help the ‘DC Generation’ as a whole – people whose supplementary retirement income depends on defined contribution savings. We hope to deliver this objective through: • Rigorous quantitative and qualitative research, in collaboration with industry, academics and policy-makers • A comprehensive programme of expert discussion events • Testing practical solutions • A series of publications, briefing papers and online resources, complemented and promoted by a social media engagement programme. We envisage this will be achieved by successfully appointing a small number of three-year ‘major sponsor’ packages. At this time we foresee no more than one major sponsor in any industry sector. However, we are flexible on the ultimate structure and will look favourably upon applications that limit the level of exclusivity requested and therefore allow the NEST Insight Unit to maximise its income opportunities and impact. We hope to appoint at least one major sponsor in time for the NEST Insight summer conference, and will therefore review first submissions from Friday 21 April 2017. We will continue to welcome interest from potential sponsors beyond that date, though any exclusivity granted to first sponsor(s) will restrict our ability to grant major sponsorships in their respective sectors (though we may be able to offer smaller sponsorships of specific projects or events.) We are particularly keen to hear from organisations in financial services, professional services and digital technology, as well as those with a policy or research interest in financial provision for lower-income groups.
