Tender description

Supply, Repair and Maintenance of Roller Shutters. These are predominantly electrically assisted shutters with some manual shutters, continental style window grilles and internal serving hatch shutters, either hand or electronically operated. The THG requires provision for the supply, repair and maintenance of roller shutters, doors and associated security products. The majority of this contract will be concerned with the repair and maintenance of new and existing roller shutters; however, there may be a requirement for the supply, repair and maintenance of metal security doors and associated products. The THG wishes to appoint a Company to supply, repair and maintain security shutters and doors. the majority of the contract will be concerned with repair and maintenance for roller shutters on the THG's operational and public buildings; however, the provision will also include, but not be limited to, the following Ad hoc repairs on a call out basis for existing roller shutters, A service programme to cover all existing roller shutters, Supply and install of new roller shutters as necessary, New installs, repair and maintenance of security doors, New installs, repair and maintenance for associated security products, such as caging, fencing and aluminum cladding, A 24 hour, 365/6 days a year response service for emergency repairs. The length of the contract will be two years with two options to extend, each for a further period of one year upon satisfactory performance and at the sole discretion of the THG. Potential contract value is 45 000 GBP per annum for service and maintenance not for new installs; however, this is an estimate based on historic data and the THG cannot guarantee any volume of work. Envisaged number of Companies to be awarded the contract is 1. The Joint Contracts Tribunal, Minor Works Building Contract 2016 (MW2016).
