Repair and maintenance services of motor vehicles and associated equipment

Tender description

The Council is seeking tenders to establish a Framework Agreement with suitable Contractors to provide repair and maintenance to Dorset Waste Partnership (DWP) waste vehicles, in the East of Dorset. The vehicles to be maintained work out of two depots, one in Ferndown and one in Christchurch. The majority of the DWP vehicle service requirements are carried out internally at in-house fleet services depots so this is designed as a top-up Framework whereby Framework suppliers may be asked to provide services only when there is not capacity for the DWP to perform the services in-house. The value of the Framework is estimated at 220 000 GBP over the potential 4 year period however given the nature of the requirements the value could range between 100 000 — 300 000 GBP Repair and Maintenance of Waste Vehicles operating in the East Dorset District Council area (vehicles based at Ferndown Depot, BH21 7RG). This may include scheduled servicing of the DWP fleet, ad-hoc roadworthiness defect rectification work, specialist municipal inspections and defect rectification work, vehicle breakdown roadside assistance and recovery.
