Tender description

The Welsh in Education Resources Branch is part of the Welsh Language Division within the Welsh Government. The Branch is responsible for commissioning resources to support the teaching and learning of Welsh as a subject and other subjects through the medium of Welsh. This notice seeks to alert the market place to the forthcoming procurement to appoint relevant suppliers to undertake the role of developing and publishing Welsh-medium and bilingual educational resources for 3 to 19 year olds. In addition to commissioning resources the Welsh in Education Resource Branch will appoint the services of subject experts to advise and provide educational expertise to the Branch before and during the development of resources. Adaptions and translation of resources into Welsh. The work will be published in either print, audio, digital, film or interactive (responding to input from learners / practitioners) formats. The development of original Welsh-medium or bilingual materials in print and e-book format only. The creation of original Welsh-medium or bilingual multimedia resources. The work will be published in a combination of audio, digital, film, print or interactive (responding to input from learners / practitioners) formats. The services of subject experts to oversee the development of resources to ensure that the end product is suitable to curriculum requirements. The services required will include (but not limited to) the following tasks: — support in identifying and commissioning resources, — monitoring the development of commissioned resources, — provide professional curricular advice.
