Pre Procurement Event - Dementia Advisor Service

Tender description

Plymouth City Council (PCC) is seeking to commission and procure a Dementia Advisor Service. The overall purpose of the service is to enable people with dementia to live independently and well for as long as possible, and specifically to: • Enhance people with dementia and their carers’ understanding of the condition • Be someone who they can approach for help and advice at any stage of the illness • Be a single identifiable point of contact with knowledge of and direct access to the whole range of local services available. • As a consequence, people with dementia and their carers should experience a reduction in the occurrence of crises that could be avoided and an increase in their understanding of the condition and strategies for managing it.
