NHS North Kirklees CCG Extended Access Provision

Tender description

The Commissioner is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced organisations to work collaboratively to deliver this service for a 12 month pilot period. The contract for the pilot will commence 24th March 2018. A full evaluation will take place following the first 4 months of service delivery and this will inform the service specification for a longer term extended access service which will be procured during 2018/19. Extended access should include the following elements: • Working at scale • Integration with other providers to maximise existing infrastructure, minimise set up costs and collaborative approaches to ensure clinical capacity is sufficient • Provision of routine (pre-bookable) and urgent (same day) appointments for all patients registered with a NKCCG member practice which should include pro-rota allocation of appointments per practice per day • Direct booking available to all NKCCG member practices, Local Care Direct, PC Streaming and NHS111 – other organisations may be added • A range of services to meet the needs of the local population as identified through patient engagement • A range of appointment types and clinical staffing • Be operational 365 days a year
