Tender description

Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (Arden&GEM CSU) on behalf of NHS England (Central Midlands) and Bedfordshire CCG (referred to as the Commissioner(s)) under joint commissioning arrangements is seeking suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver primary care medical services at Clapham Road Surgery, Clapham Road, Bedford, Bedfordshire, MK41 7PW. As a result of this procurement exercise an agreement will be established with the successful Bidder(s) for a period of 15 months from the commencement date of 1st January 2018 until the 31st March 2019, there will be no option to extend beyond this period. Based on the current contract it is anticipated that the service provision resultant of this procurement will have an estimated annual agreement value of £646,631 in year 1 and £623,497 in years 2 to 5 (excluding Enhanced Services and QOF Payments). The current weighted list size is 6,313.52 as at July 2017. It is envisaged that TUPE will apply. The key objective of this procurement is to commission an able provider(s) through the most current NHS England Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS) contract. These services must be provided by GPs and nurses and the Provider(s) will be expected to deliver:- —high quality, patient centered and value for money (VFM) Primary GP services, delivered in a safe and effective manner. —Primary Medical Services including Essential, Additional and Enhanced Services as set out in the Service Specification.
