Building on the successes of the previous TPO (Trusted Partner Organisation) pilot in 2016, Suffolk County Council are looking to conduct an additional county-wide pilot, including North Suffolk which was not covered by the original TPO pilot. The TPO County pilot project is a progressive step that Suffolk is taking with some of its care sector partners in undertaking a comprehensive and holistic assessment of customer's needs under the Care Act. The Trusted Partner Organisation pilot project offers care providers and Private Voluntary and Independent Sector providers an exciting development opportunity of adding value to their business model and represents a realistic and measured step forward to greater customer focused joint working in the care sector. The outcomes and evaluation of this project will inform the intention to formally contract 3rd party organisations to significantly contribute towards meeting Suffolk County Councils statutory duty of meeting the needs of vulnerable people by working as strategic partners in delivering Care Act compliant assessments and reviews of customers in Suffolk.
