CCC's facing an increasing challenge to meet current and future needs of an expanding population of older people. There're major pressures on statutory services and accommodation provision for older people, in turn putting pressure on budgets. With increasing population and inflation there'll be a significant shortfall in suitable accommodation if services delivery doesn't change. We're seeking a strategic partner or a consortium to design, build, operate and maintain new residential and nursing care homes. It's expected up to 450 new care beds required will be within newly built care homes on land that may be contributed by the Council. Of these 150 beds will be affordable for Council funded placements. Before a formal procurement process, we'd like to engage potential providers to outline and discuss some of the parameters which potential providers will need to operate in to meet the current challenges whilst meeting the budget expectations.
