HeadStart Blackpool is a five year Lottery funded programme providing universal and targeted interventions for 10-16 year olds across Blackpool. HeadStart’s objectives are: • To improve resilience in young people and prevent the onset of mental health conditions To build a resilient community across Blackpool To create a sustainable approach to resilience HeadStart’s fundamentals are as follows Co-production Whole systems change Social justice approach One universal language and approach to resilience Brave and innovative Asset based approaches HeadStart is delivered through schools, in the community, and in homes providing approximately 20 universal and targeted interventions to local young people, the local workforce and parents/carers.
