Tender description

Wolverhampton Homes provides Grounds Maintenance and Arboricultural Services upon Housing land under a Management Agreement with the City of Wolverhampton Council (CWC). The delivery of these works through a single contract forms part of Wolverhampton Homes wider initiatives through which it seeks to provide efficient, cost effective services that are seamless, coordinated and meet the specific needs of Wolverhampton Homes tenants and leaseholders. The Service, as defined in the contract conditions, includes the grounds maintenance of land, open spaces and housing estates within the management of Wolverhampton Homes, and includes arboricultural works to trees on land managed by Wolverhampton Homes. Wolverhampton Homes is responsible for managing and maintaining some 170 ha of land located throughout the borough of Wolverhampton, including approximately 111 ha of grassed areas and 13 ha of horticultural features. Wolverhampton Homes is seeking a suitably experienced contractor to undertake grounds maintenance and arboricultural works throughout Wolverhampton including within general housing estates, communal grounds and former-sheltered accommodation. The scope of services includes but is not limited to: — Grass Maintenance, — Hedge Maintenance, — Hard Surface Maintenance, — Litter Collection, — Shrub and Rose bed Maintenance, — Garage Site Maintenance, — Japanese Knotweed and Invasive Weed Treatment, — Flower bed maintenance, — Arboricultural works, — Tenant / Resident Gardening Service, — Void / Empty Property Garden Clearance. The contract value is estimated at circa 1 400 000 GBP per annum and the contract duration is for a period of 5 years (plus potential 5 years extension). It is anticipated that the contract will be awarded and commence in January 2018.
