Framework for provision of Waste Vehicle Maintenance Services in the East of Dorset

Tender description

The Council is seeking tenders to establish a Framework Agreement with suitable Contractors to provide repair and maintenance to waste vehicles specifically in the East of Dorset. The vehicles to be maintained work out of two separate depots, one in Ferndown and one in Christchurch. The majority of the DWP vehicle service requirements are carried out internally at in-house fleet services depots so this is designed as a top-up Framework whereby Framework suppliers may be asked to provide services only when there is not capacity for the DWP to perform the services in-house. Services could include; scheduled servicing of the DWP fleet, ad-hoc roadworthiness defect rectification work, specialist municipal inspections and defect rectification work, vehicle breakdown roadside assistance and recovery. The Framework is for an initial period of 24 months, with option to extend for a further 24 months (in the form of 2 x 12 month extensions) Keywords: Vehicle, Waste vehicles, Repair, Maintenance
