Tender description

The works will consist of the provision of labour, plant, materials and traffic management to carry out specialist surface treatment works for the Yorkshire Highway Alliance. These works may include, carriageway and footway proprietary surfacing Works, high friction surfacing works together with other associated works on both highway and non-highway sites at unspecified locations and ancillary installation of the road marking and road studs at various locations within the geographical boundary of the Council of the Borough of Kirklees and the other contracting authorities listed in Section I.1 of this Notice. The framework will be divided into nine (9) Lots on a geographical basis as described in Sections II.2.1 to II.2.14 of this Notice. The location of the works will be the administrative areas assigned to each of the Lots described, plus the administrative area of any other ‘Local Authority’ (as defined in the Local Government Act 1972) within the Yorkshire and Humber Region. The works will consist of the provision of labour, plant, materials and traffic management to carry out specialist surface treatment works. These works may include, carriageway and footway proprietary surfacing works, high friction surfacing works together with other associated works on both highway and non-highway sites at unspecified locations and ancillary installation of the road marking and road studs at various locations within the geographical boundary of the principal contracting authority (i.e. the Council of the Borough of Kirklees) and the other contracting authorities listed in Section I.1 of this Notice above. The locations will be within the administrative areas of: City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council — Lot 1. Economic Operators may price for one, or more, or all of the lots as detailed at Section II.1.6 of the Contract notice. All of the other contracting authorities shall be hereafter defined as the ‘contacting authorities’ for whom the principal contracting authority (i.e the Council of the Borough of Kirklees) will act as the contract administrator in relation to the Framework Agreement (available to download at: https://www.yortender.co.uk/procontract/supplier.nsf).
