Tender description
Provision of a Local Stop Smoking Service in Oxfordshire covering three key aspects: 1. An access point for the Service; 2. Referrals into the Service through training a broad spectrum of Referral Sources/personnel and an effective ‘Marketing and Communications Plan’ promoting self-referral; 3. Accessible Evidence-based Interventions through a range of approved modes. The Principles of the Service: Throughout the three core elements, the Service Provider will: — Ensure that the Service can maximise their ability to engage with Service Users and deliver the required outcomes, they will be characterised by the following behaviours: — Well informed; — Well connected; — Friendly. — Take an innovative, creative, resourceful and practical approach will be taken to disseminate information related to increasing awareness of the Service. — Ensure those contacting the Service should experience a reliable and efficient process. Systems and processes will be simple and clear to all those contacting the Service. — Make ongoing improvements and adjustments to the delivery of the Services throughout the life of the Contract as new evidence emerges from national and international research and local evaluation of the Services. — Acknowledges and agrees that the Services may be adjusted to respond to best available evidence. — Aim to reduce health inequalities and promote equality, targeting those with greatest need through a proportionate universalism approach and equality of access for residents/employees with protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010. — Support the primary prevention of smoking tobacco, particularly in ‘Children and Young People’ aged between 11 and 16 years.
