Tender description
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service tests approx 150,000 donations per annum in our Donor Grouping, NAT and Virology laboratories. The SNBTS (Edinburgh) currently provide a contingency back up service for the IBTS which is tested four times per annum. Occasionally frozen samples will require to be shipped to England, Scotland or The Netherlands. The IBTS provides transport containers according to internal requirements and differ between LOT 1 and LOT 2/3. Transport boxes may contain infectious materials and may contain hazardous materials such as dry ice.
