South Somerset District Council (SSDC) is undertaking the process of tendering for the Supply, Installation and Commissioning of New Cremators, Mercury Abatement Equipment and Control Systems for Yeovil Crematorium. This is to ensure that the service continues to meet its statutory obligations, the authority’s objectives, provide best value and meet the future needs of the residents of South Somerset. Summary of Contract Scope: 1. Design work. 2. The supply, installation and commissioning of the two cremators, abatement equipment and control systems 3. The support and maintenance of the above The primary aims are to select a contractor who will deliver the optimal solution over the lifecycle of the equipment and one that recognises the Council’s desire to enter into a long term relationship with a partner who will fully support this key facility, contribute to its long term success and help achieve the objectives contained in the Yeovil Crematorium business plan.
