Tender description
Who Speclialist Work With Working within the Digital Ecosystem Unit (DEU). The Scottish Government’s approach to technology-enabled business transformation is predicated on the development of Scotland’s national digital ecosystem – a combination of infrastructure, services/standards that can be used across the public sector to reduce cost, improve levels of user satisfaction, ensure quality and facilitate interoperability. The DEU aims to work with public sector partners to identify common business capabilities and develop digital solutions that can be used to deliver these capabilities across different services and service providers. What Specialists Work On • Lead engagement with customers identify technical needs to propose/design appropriate solutions and architecture • Acts as the technical authority in information gathering, scene setting with stakeholders and managers • Undertake forensic analysis towards understanding of technologies fit of proposed options within different environments to recommend most appropriate systems across different environments and operating models • Advise the Technical Solutions Lead in order to drive project objectives through to completion • Drive development of customer digital/ ICT strategies • Review technical proposals from external suppliers and make implementation recommendations Where the Work Takes Place Edinburgh Central Belt Early Market Engagement N/A Working Arrangements 37 hours per week, 5 days per week Work Location Edinburgh Central Belt Security Clearance Suppliers should only put forward interims who have a valid Basic Disclosure Scotland Certificate, or higher if requested and are reminded that interims must be security cleared to Baseline Personnel Security Standard level before they can start in a role. Additional T&Cs Skills & Experience Track record of working on enterprise architecture projects in support of strategy development. Experience of strategic alignment of technical architecture and design to meet clients’ business, digital and technology drivers and objectives. Track record in designing and evolving the most appropriate solution/technical architecture to meet client requirements, fully integrating across different environments and technologies. Experience in delivering citizen / customer-centric strategies and solutions. Experience of working within a large-scale transformation programme / environment. Nice to Haves Working knowledge of digital and cloud technologies. Experience of working in a shared service / consultancy environment.
