Denbighshire is seeking to contract out the operation of the commercial residual waste collection service. For the sake of clarity, this means Denbighshire will retain customer base and contracts, the project is for the provision of the collection service only. Denbighshire County Council provides a commercial waste collection and disposal service for businesses within its county border. The expected contract value is approximately 1 000 000 GBP, and is for a term of 2 years with an option to extend by a further year. A Supplier Awareness Day is planned for Friday 27th October where further information will be provided on the number of trade waste contracts and distribution of them throughout the county. The awareness day will be held in the St Asaph area (venue to be confirmed). Suppliers wanting to attend the awareness day should register their interest by emailing Jim Espley jim.espley@denbighshire.gov.uk by 12 midday on Friday 20.10.2017. Joining up instructions and an appointment time will then be provided. A maximum of 2 representatives per company will be able to attend.
