Midlands Energy Performance Contract

Tender description

Leicestershire County Council (the Council) is undertaking this procurement exercise to appoint an Energy Performance Contractor to manage the Council's own Energy Performance Projects and of those to other public bodies (Permitted Purchasing Bodies) in the wider East and Midlands counties, in an area within an approximately 50 mile radius of Leicester.Leicestershire County. The Council's aim is to reduce its energy consumption and increase the generation of low, zero and renewable energy; thus reducing carbon emissions and saving money through reduced energy costs and income from renewable subsidies. An Energy Strategy has been adopted to support this. To further support these aims, the Council will seek to let this contract for an initial period of 24 months and, to fix the elements of the price of the contract for an initial 24 month period. Subject to an Efficiency and Effectiveness Review, the contract may be extended by a further 24 month period.
