Tender description

The Trust, on behalf of the Healthier Lancashire and South Cumbria STP ‘Lancashire and South Cumbria Pathology Partnership’, is running a soft market testing exercise in relation to a possible future public procurement for the provision of Pathology Laboratory Services. The Pathology Laboratory Services Departments at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust, (the ‘Trusts’) are seeking to engage with interested parties (‘Service Providers’) to discuss opportunities associated with Pathology Laboratory Services that will provide a more effective Service that will support the future needs of the Trusts. Service Providers who are interested in participating in soft-market testing are invited to attend a briefing event on 12.10.2017 as detailed in section II.2.4). This notice is published for the purpose of early market engagement only. For the avoidance of doubt, this market consultation exercise implies no commercial commitment and is not a formal tender process. The Trusts would like to invite interested Service Providers to attend a market engagement and briefing event with the programme leads on Thursday 12.10.2017 at the Conference Centre, Lancaster University.
