Tender description

Mildmay Mission Hospital provides services for people with HIV who have cognitive impairment, HIV related brain injuries or complex physical rehabilitation needs. The services provided are specialised but falls outside the range of services provided under the NHS England Specialised Commissioning arrangement. It provides a specialist interdisciplinary assessment and rehabilitation service which can be delivered on an inpatient or outpatient ‘day service’ basis depending on the needs of the person. The patient pathways encourage as much self-management as possible and are an acute admission avoidance strategy. Key areas of expertise and service include: — HIV Associated Neurocognitive Disorder (HAND) — Rehabilitation for complex physical conditions — Respite care where patients are admitted to deal with adherence issues, psychological support, nutrition support, step down from hospital care — End of life care — Day services. Expressions of interest for this Contract Opportunity were sought via a PIN in OJEU and Future Opportunity Notice on Contracts Finder. Following an assessment of the responses received to the PIN, The Contracting Authorities have concluded there is no basis for a competition to be run for this contract. As such, the Contracting Authority has awarded the contract directly to the incumbent provider through a negotiated procedure.
