Tender description

The London Borough of Hounslow located at The Civic Centre, Hounslow, TW3 4DN invites Tenders for the provision of the Adult and Young People's Community Drug and Alcohol Treatment Services in accordance with this Invitation to Tender. This is a notice for social and specific services in accordance with Directive 2014/24/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council Article 74. The London Borough of Hounslow is recommissioning its existing Adult and Young People's Community Drug and Alcohol. The service should take into account local plans and strategies, supporting them wherever possible. The London Borough of Hounslow's Corporate Plan includes the following overarching aims which the treatment service will support: Keeping you safe: Alcohol and drug misuse contribute towards violent assaults, crime and fear of crime, domestic abuse and road fatalities. Preventing misuse and treating those dependent will help to keep residents safe, feel more secure in their community, and protect them from crime and preventable harms. Brighter futures for our children: Children living with parents with drug and alcohol problems can be at risk of physical, psychological and behaviour problems. Of all serious case reviews nationally, 27 % reference alcohol misuse while 29 % reference drug misuse as a factor. Intervening early and supporting parents to seek treatment for substance misuse will help secure brighter futures for the borough's children. Good quality homes and jobs: Substance misuse can be both a cause and an effect of homelessness. Good quality, effective treatment can help people to retain their homes and be the key to gaining employment and making positive contributions to society. The specification contains key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Hounslow service, which will form the framework for regular monitoring of delivery and outcomes.
