The Borough Council of Calderdale (‘Calderdale Council’) is to commission a service that delivers residential placements for children looked after by Calderdale (the ‘Service’). The Service will have a strong focus on positive behaviour management support based on restorative intervention, authoritative parenting and a strengths-focused approach. In particular, the Service will: — Provide 4 residential placements for children looked after by Calderdale Council, within 2-bedded homes across 2 locations within Calderdale's local authority boundaries. — Ensure that 1 of the 2 locations provides specialist support around child sexual exploitation. — Play a key role in preparing our children looked after for moving on and independence. — Provide high quality support to children and young people with complex needs.
