Tender description

This contract notice is for the purchase of anticipated 4 500 units of replacement monitor equipment and any necessary supporting functionality equipment for the SGN fleet over its expected life cycle. This contract notice has been issued by Scotia Gas Networks (SGN) in connection with a competitive procurement event conducted in accordance with the Negotiated Procedure under the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016. The contract notice sets out the information which is required by SGN in order to assess the suitability of potential applicants in terms of their capability, capacity and experience to meet the requirement. The notice is for the supply of approximately 4 500 Personal Atmosphere Monitors (PAMs). These are provided to operatives and team managers who work on gas distribution activities including: emergency, repair, connections, replacement and maintenance. They serve as a form of Personal Protective Equipment, providing any necessary early warning alarm of an unsafe atmosphere within a work area. SGN will be seeking to award contract for the full supply of replacement monitor equipment and any necessary supporting functionality equipment for the fleet over its expected life cycle. The equipment is required to meet the specification outlined in Appendix C.11 of SGN/PM/SHE/18 inserted into the PQQ Document and to confirm, must be able to monitor and alert to presence of the following gases: Gases, LEL Methane (CH4), LEL Propane (C3H8), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S), Oxygen (O2). Following contract award and placement of order, delivery shall be required to commence from Q1-Q2 2018. The form of contract shall be a Bespoke Goods Supply Agreement. All parties wishing to take part shall confirm their interest and request a copy of the Pre-qualification documents to richard.start@sse.com The PQQ also has instructions for completion and submission according to a submission deadline of 27.10.2017 at 12:00 hours. Failure to respond by this deadline may result in the candidate not being invited to participate further.
