Tender description

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) provides the motoring public with the option to pay for Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) by Direct Debit. The current service handles over 12 000 000 mandates per year (offering customers the option to pay on a monthly, 6-monthly or annual basis). The contractual arrangement will expire on 30.9.2018 so DVLA intends to engage with the supply market to explore options for a replacement solution. The Agency intends to engage with the supply market to explore options for a replacement DD solution, prior to the expiry of the existing arrangement. We intend to convene Supplier Innovation Days in Swansea on 24 and 25 October, where suppliers will be given 1-2 hour slots to discuss possible solutions. Prospective suppliers are asked to register interest in attending by emailing the address provided. The intention is develop and enhance DVLA's awareness and understanding of possible solutions, potential time-scales for implementation and integration and identification of options to transition and migrate to prospective new service provider. Advice, information, guidance and feedback will assist formulation of a procurement strategy. A full Specification of requirements is not currently available. DVLA would like to make clear at this juncture there is no guarantee of a call for further competition. All options will be considered, including evaluating CCS's Digital Marketplace Framework.
