Summary of the work The brief is to provide training to staff in Enterprise Architect software for the purpose of data flow mapping and to maintain, update and quality check the data flow mapping repository. Latest start date Monday 2 October 2017 Maximum Day Rate £600.00 Who Speclialist Work With You will be working with the Data Sharing & Access team, including the National Lead for Data Flow Mapping; training will be delivered to a wide range of internal business areas. What Specialists Work On 1. Deliver Data Flow Mapping training using Enterprise Architect Software. 2. Update and maintain the repository of data flow maps. Skills & Experience • Experience with using Enterprise Architect Corporate Software for data mapping. • Experience of training staff, including non-technical staff, to use mapping software. • Experience of maintaining, updating and quality assuring a repository of data flow maps • Experience and knowledge of a wide range of data, including both spatial and non-spatial. Nice to Haves Experience of working in the public sector Work Location Remote working is possible. Base location at start will be Ergon House in London; travel to other Environment Agency offices, e.g. Bristol, will be required. Working Arrangments Days/hours worked to be arranged according to business needs but with considerable flexibility over the period of the contract. Contract value includes a maximum of £600 for expenses (train travel). Would you consider a Consultant who could offer a maximum of 3 days a week ? Yes, the resource we need will be part-time and likely to be very flexible according to business need for training and support, e.g. 1-3 days a week is anticipated. 2. Will the specialist be working with Sparx Systems Enterprise Architecture software, or is it a different product? Yes, we are using Sparx Enterprise Architect software. 3. The brief includes requirement to provide staff training in Enterprise Architect software for the purpose of data flow mapping. Does this Model already exist or will there be a requirement to establish the architectural approach (including viewpoints and artefacts) that will require subsequent training? We already have a Data Flow Mapping repository/model in place so it would be providing training and support to business technical leads to enable them to add new maps or update existing ones, adding them to the existing repository and keeping the repository up to date. 4. Would you consider work permit holders (e.g. Tier 2 General Visa) and EU passport holders for this role ? Yes 5. Is the rate inclusive or exclusive of VAT? The maximum day rate excludes VAT. 6. Any specific format(pdf,doc) in which CVs to be sent later? We only require responses to the criteria at this stage. 7. What are the other expenses which will be paid? We envisage that the only expenses will be for reasonable travel, which will be paid when visiting EA offices, e.g. 2nd class train fares. This will be by prior agreement only. 8. Any chances of change in start date as the latest date mentioned is Monday 2 October 2017? We may have some flexibility on the start date. We do have considerable flexibility with the pattern of work, e.g. number of days worked per week, which could start out low and increase/flex as required. 9. Will this role be within IR35? The role is outside IR35. 10. What will be security Clearance level? No security clearance required. 11. Will the role fall inside or outside IR35 regs? This role is outside IR35. 12. Does this role fall within the off payroll worker legislation? This role is outside of IR35. 13. What is the lead time for feedback once the application is submitted?
