Summary of the work We require an experienced deliverer of Business Analysis services to work on requirements engineering and other Business Analysis, relating to a business change programme, providing technological solutions for Customer Relationship Management, records and documents management. Specialist role Business analyst Expected Contract Length 6 months initially with the option to extend up to a maximum of 18 months. Latest start date Monday 6 November 2017 Maximum Day Rate Up to £550 inclusive of expenses, any agency fees & inclusive of VAT. Please note NHS Improvement anticipates this role will be within IR35. Who Speclialist Work With Various NHS Improvement Internal Stakeholders: Senior Managers; Workstream leads; Business Change Programme colleagues and; various IT teams within the Technology & Data Directorate. External stakeholders: chosen delivery partners. What Specialists Work On • Lead Requirements Definition/User Stories for delivery and service development functions • Lead work to develop criteria for sifting, evaluations and selections for the provision commercial partnerships • Define outputs/outcomes and activities for future services to include ‘consultation’ • Facilitate requirements gathering • Develop requirements for the transition from existing to new contracts • Develop Process Maps to support delivery of CRM & Electronic records and documents management systems. • Develop a Data Needs Analysis Document Skills & Experience • have a minimum of 5 years’ experience of delivering agile business analysis services (15 points) • demonstrable experience of stakeholder relationship management and influencing skills, demonstrating success in; facilitating collaboration, influencing, communicating and negotiating across all levels of an organisation (10 points) • demonstrable expertise of process modelling, gap analysis and requirements engineering with the delivery of appropriate artefacts to progress development, achieve business objectives and TOMs (10 points) • have strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise own workload with competing priorities; (10 points) • have experience of working in a matrix managed programme/project environment; (10 points) • have knowledge of software development lifecycles; (5 points) Nice to Haves • demonstrate they have experience in testing complex data applications and reporting tools; • demonstrate an understanding of information governance and IT security; • demonstrate agile business analysis experience gained in large public sector organisations • demonstrate work experience of the NHS or other healthcare systems • demonstrate an understanding of public procurement Work Location NHS Improvement, 133-135 Waterloo Road, London, SE1 8UG Working Arrangments We expect you to be present in the office, as face-to-face engagement is considered to be most effective. This role may involve travel to one or more regional offices including but not limited to; Taunton, Leeds, Manchester, Derby and Birmingham. Can you please confirm if the rate should be inclusive of VAT as DOS rates are usually exclusive of VAT? The up to £550 rate is inclusive of VAT (and inclusive of expenses and any agency fees). NHS Improvement anticipates this role will be within IR35. 2. What would be the feedback date? What would the Interview date be? We intend to notify bidders they have been shortlisted and request additional information (work history and reference contact details), by 25 October.The interview dates are anticipated to be between 31 October and 2 November and will be confirmed by 25 October. 3. Please confirm the security clearance required for this role? Security clearance is not required for this role. Suppliers must verify its proposed resource's right to work in the UK and any qualifications essential to delivery of the requirement, before the candidate is submitted. 4. Any chances of change in start date as the latest date mentioned is Monday 6 November 2017 Resources are required to be available to start from 6 November. 5. Any specific format (pdf,doc) in which CVs to be sent later The format of the additional information required will be communicated with the shortlist notifications. These are anticipated to be sent by 25 October. 6. What are the other expenses which will be paid? What are the exact work locations. Is there any travel involved in this role and will the travel expenses be paid ? The role’s base location is NHS Improvement, 133-135 Waterloo Road, London, SE1 8UG. The role involves working with stakeholders at our regional offices, and it will be necessary to travel to these offices as directed by project activities and timelines. Travel expenses for this will be met, in accordance with NHS Improvements policies.Our regional offices are across England, including Newcastle, Taunton, Leeds, Manchester, Derby and Birmingham.The submitted day rates must be inclusive of travel expenses to the base location, other expenses, any agency fee and VAT. Please note NHS Improvement anticipates this role will be within IR35. 7. Is occasional remote working allowed? The majority of the work will need to be carried out on premises, however occasional remote working is possible, as agreed with the project lead. 8. Would you consider work permit holders (e.g. Tier 2 General Visa) and EU passport holders for this role We would accept a candidate on a work VISA that allows them to work in the UK, and EU passport holders. Copies of these would need to be provided if the candidate is successful and provision of these copies must not delay the start date. Suppliers must verify its proposed resource's right to work in the UK and any qualifications essential to delivery of the requirement, before the candidate is submitted.
