Summary of the work A QA analyst / Testing resource required to work on a the build and test of a citrix farm in a virtualised environment. The Citrix farm will host applications compatible with Vista - Windows 10. Specialist role Quality assurance analyst Expected Contract Length 3 Months Latest start date 17/02/2017 Maximum Day Rate £530.00 Who Speclialist Work With Resource will be working withing the CAP 5 Citrix Farm build project. He will be working very closely with the project TA, PM, Citrix SME and the Apps Support team What Specialists Work On " • Test Strategy • Test Plan (for the Functional, Integration and OAT test phases) • Data Migration Test Plan • Test Traceability Matrix • Test Schedule • Test Scenarios • Test Cases • Automated Test Scripts (when required) • Performance Testing Profile (if required) • Test Progress Reports • Create and maintain Project Defect Log • Create and maintain OAT Defect Log • Defect Metrics • Final Test Report • Client / project meetings " Skills & Experience • ISEB Foundation in Software Testing (mandatory) • ISEB Practitioner Certificate in Software Testing (otional) • Good analytical skills allied to a challenging and inquiring mind • Proactive and inquisitive approach to testing • A broad knowledge of current Microsoft operating systems and HP Compaq hardware • Creation and use of Macros & Automation scripts • Experience of working with AGILE methodology • Unit testing & UAT experience • System and Application test experience • Integration test experience • Regression test experience • Experience and knowledge of performance testing • Experience of biometric products • Management of OAT and liaison with Operational teams • Defect Management including liaison with 3rd party suppliers for defect resolution and use of Team Foundation System • Experience with advising both Project Managers and Customers of test strategies and plans • Experience and knowledge of Cloud platform Nice to Haves ITIL Foundation in Service Management Work Location Hanslope Park, Milton Keynes Working Arrangments Onsite 5 days a week Security Clearance Minimum SC No. of Specialists to Evaluate 5 Cultural Fit Criteria A Good team player Evaluation Weighting Technical competence 30% Cultural fit 10% Price 60% Questions from Suppliers 1. Will you accept candidates with NPPV level 3 clearance? NPPV level 3 clearance is not acceptable for this role. 2. How important is the data migration experience in the role? Also, is it expected for the role to have hands on experience of performance and automation testing? As this role is a QA Analyst role, we would expect the candidate to have an automation hands on experience. The Performance testing hands on and data migration hands on experience is not essential but they need to be aware of the concepts and should have worked on the similar projects in the past. 3. Will this role be deemed to be outside IR35 after 6th April? In the event that IR35 changes do come into force after April 2017 they will apply to FCO Services ( FCOS ) and all off-payroll personnel ( contractors ) working through their own limited companies for roles at FCOS.I have asked Digital Marketplace for clarification on roles starting before April 2017 and whether IR35 applies if the role extends beyond that date.I have not yet received a response.You may wish to seek similar clarifications that would relate to your situation should you be selected for this role. 4.
